Saskia Beranek Presents at Museum Het Prinsenhof, Netherlands

Saskia Beranek (PhD 2013) presented her research on Amalia van Solms and the role of imported Japanese lacquer in seventeenth-century palace interiors at Museum het Prinsenhof in Delft, The Netherlands on December 8, 2022. The lecture was in association with the exhibition Amalia: Ambitie met Allure (Amalia: Ambition with Allure), the first exhibition to address the critical role of this significant female patron in the 17th century. The event was co-sponsored by the museum and the Amsterdam Center for the Study of Early Modernity at the University of Amsterdam.
