Hossein Nakhaei co-presents at the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme (MMSH)

On March 30, graduate student Hossein Nakhaei co-presents at the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme (MMSH) in Aix-en-Provence, France. He co-presents the paper "Defaced Birds: Iconoclasm and Identifying Luster Tiles from the Shrine Complex at Natanz" with Fuchsia Hart, IHF curator for the Iranian Collections at the V&A museum. By identifying new tiles of Natanz shrine complex in collections around the world, their paper sheds new light on the history of the site and challenges the general perception of sacred spaces in Persian architecture during the 13th and 14th centuries.
