HAA Faculty and Grad Student Featured in Humanities Engage Events

On Thursday, April 8, 2021, HAA faculty Jessica Landau and Alex Taylor joined Kornelia Tancheva, Hillman University Librarian and Director of the University Library System, to share with doctoral students strategies and experiences on professional careers outside academia. In “Libraries and Museums as Sites of Public Scholarship and Education,” the scholars focused on communication skills, building portfolios, and developing professional networks.

On Thursday, April 12, 2021, graduate student Rebecca Giordano considered collaborative teaching practices with fellow Pitt graduate students. Participants shared their experiences in the Summer 2020 program, answered questions, and encouraged further discussion and participation in digital pedagogy, training, and professional experiences provided by the university.
