Join us at the University Art Gallery on Wednesday, October 12, at noon for a tour of “Greer Lankton: Science Fictions” with curator Isaiah Bertagnolli. Lankton was a trans artist best known for her doll-sculptures she made while working in New York in the 1980s. Drawn from the Greer Lankton Archive at the Mattress Factory, this exhibition explores how the artist used science fiction to envision genders beyond the binary. Bertagnolli will discuss selected artworks in the show as well as his time working as a fellow in the Lankton Archive. Light refreshments will be provided after the exhibition tour.
