Emily Mazzola appointed Curator of Fitchburg Art Museum

Recent graduate Emily Mazzola (PhD 2023) has been appointed Curator of the Fitchburg Art Museum in Massachusetts. Mazzola will bring her research expertise in gender, material culture and museology of American art to the museum’s collections and exhibition program.

The Fitchburg Art Museum is the leading cultural institution in North Central Massachusetts. Founded in 1925, FAM plays a vital role in the cultural life of the region and is committed to community access and service. FAM’s permanent collection includes over 7,000 artworks, with particular strengths in American Art, African Art, and photography.
