SAH Pittsburgh Seminar

Saturday, April 30, 2022 - 9:00am to 12:00pm

The Society of Architectural Historians will host its 75th Annual International Conference in person in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, April 27–May 1, 2022. SAH members from around the world will convene at the Westin Pittsburgh to share new research on the history of the built environment. The program includes 37 paper sessions, keynote talks, social receptions, a city seminar, and architecture and landscape tours in Pittsburgh and nearby areas. On Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9am-12pm, the Pittsburgh Seminar will take place at The Frick Point Breeze.

9:00–9:10am: Welcome, Dr. Elizabeth E. Barker, Executive Director, The Frick Pittsburgh

9:10–10:00am: Introduction, Bill Bates, FAIA, + conversation with Karen Abrams, Director, Department of City Planning, City of Pittsburgh

10:00–10:10am: Coffee break

10:10–11:00 am: Lightning Talks
