Undergraduate student Anuja Kumbhardare is set to speak at the SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium on Friday, April 10th. Kumbhardare is currently a senior obtaining a BA in Museum Studies and Classics, along with a BS/BA in Human Resource Management.
Her talk will focus on her paper, “Seeing Sita’s Suicides: Darshan in Ramayana Art,” which has been accepted for publication in the Summer 2026 issue of the Journal of Undergraduate Research in the Humanities. She developed her work during her time as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Pitt’s Humanities Center in 2025, mentored by Associate Professor Mrinalini Rajagopalan.
The talk will consist of a 10-minute overview of her work, followed by a brief Q&A session.
