Abraham Bosse
Bosse was a Parisian printmaker whose treatise is entitled Traict des manires de graver en taille douce sur l'airin par le moyen des eaux-fortes et des vernis durs et mols.
State
Every change on a printing surface, as shown by a comparison of the prints pulled from it, indicates a change in state. These changes are sometimes made by the artist, but they can also be due to a change in the name of the publisher.
